Improved communication processes set to impact on woodworking manufacturing methods

Equisys, developers of the award-winning Zetafax fax software, and Licom, producers of alphaCIM management software for woodworking businesses, today announced a partnership which aims to improve communication processes in the manufacturing sector. Licom and Equisys believe the manufacturing industry will benefit from improved communication methods in order to minimize sales cycles and improve staff processes.

The partnership will focus on desktop faxing not only as a viable, cost-effective alternative to post but improving manual fax processes where they already exist in manufacturing businesses. An issue most manufacturers face is the time factor involved in faxing. Zetafax cuts the time it takes to send a fax via a conventional fax machine by up to 80%.

Manufacturers typically receive fax orders on a central fax machine and make copies of these documents to pass between various departments. The order process can be complex and paperwork is often amended and distributed several times throughout the organisation. Now multiple copies can be forwarded at the click of a mouse, affording staff more time to focus on their core responsibilities."

At present Licom is offering Zetafax in addition to alphaCIM. There are also future plans to integrate Zetafax in a new version of the software.
