PRB: Overflow under type conversion of text to text message when sending a report with Zetadocs for NAV

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Zetadocs for NAV versions 4.0 to 4.2

Symptom

When printing certain documents from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Zetadocs you receive an “Overflow under type conversion of text to text” error.

Cause

For display purposes the record ID for each NAV record being printed is converted into a text field.  In some cases this text can become too long and so will cause the described error.

Resolution

A hotfix is available to address the overflow exception produced.
