Symptom
When using an automatic SMTP mailer to generate faxes via the Zetafax SMTP Gateway, two identical faxes are sent, even though only one e-mail was generated.
More Information
This problem occurs when the automatic mailer generates an e-mail with the same e-mail address twice. The utilities known to do this are:
If you intercept one of the temporary files generated by the mailer before it reaches the Zetafax SMTP server, you will see the following header
FROM:Hal.Hunter@equisys.com
SUBJECT:Test SMTP E-mail.
TO: 092516074@fax.equisys.com
TO: 092516074@fax.equisys.com
Under these circumstances, the Zetafax Server does not recognise the two addresses as being the same, and therefore dials the number twice.
