PRB: Spooler service terminates during the Mail Rendering Subsystem install

During the Mail Rendering Subsystem (MRS) printer driver install, the spooler service stops unexpectedly, and an event similar to the following may be logged in the system event log:

The Spooler service terminated with the following error:

The access code is invalid.


The spooler service has to be stopped and restarted when the MRS printer is reset. This event can be logged if the spooler is unable to be accessed for any reason during the reset.

As the MRS is reset on system startup and any time the driver has been unable to convert a particular document, this event may appear in the system log frequently.



Zetafax version 7.5 is no longer supported by Equisys. This issue is resolved with the latest version of Zetafax. If you wish to upgrade to the latest version of Zetafax please contact the Zetafax distributor for your country for more information or:
