PRB: Zetadocs client slow to startup after printing from some 16bit applications

Symptom

After printing to the Zetadocs PDF printer from some 16bit applications, the system may become unresponsive and it may take some time for the Zetadocs PDF client to start up.

Cause

Some older programs may misinterpret the capabilities of the printer to handle fonts and as such passes the document as a large image instead of a text stream. This is the case even for small documents of a few pages. The large image then takes time to spool using excessive system resources and resulting in an unresponsive system.

Status

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
