PRB: 'Email sending was cancelled by the user' error when sending via Outlook 2003
This Zetadocs technical note applies to:
- Zetadocs PDF v9.1 and v9.2
- Zetadocs NAV v6.1
An error message is displayed in Zetadocs PDF Client stating that ‘Email sending was cancelled by the user’ when sending via Outlook 2003 with the ‘View emails before sending’ option enabled, even though the user has clicked send on the email window, and the message has been sent.
This issue only occurs when ‘Send via Outlook 2003’ is selected, and the ‘View emails before sending’ option is enabled.
This is due to the affected versions of Zetadocs PDF not registering an Outlook interoperability file correctly during installation.
The following file should be registered on the system:
Open a command line prompt as administrator and run the following command:
- Regsvr32 < ZDPDF> \ZetadocsPDF.Redemption.dll
Where < ZDPDF> is the installation directory for Zetadocs PDF (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Zetadocs PDF)
This is a known issue with the software versions given above.
