Print

ZTN4202

ID: ZTN4202

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Version 4.x of Zetadocs for NAV with Zetadocs Client Version 7.2
  • Version 5 of Zetadocs for NAV with Zetadocs Client 8.1

Symptom

When a user sends a large batch to the Zetadocs Client, which will be sent via Outlook, if the “from email” is populated in the Zetadocs Client either by the templates or the embedded commands, the client crashes while sending the batch. In the windows event logs an error appears with the below details

  • Faulting application name: ZdClient.exe, version: xxxxxx, time stamp: xxxxxx
  • Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: xxxxxxx, time stamp: xxxxxxx

Cause

When sending a batch via Outlook a third party library is used to create and send the emails. If the “from email” is available we try to resolve the email using the third party library which causes the crash.
