PRB: International prefix is misinterpreted when sending a fax from Outlook using Exchange 2007

ID: ZTN1672

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

  • Zetafax v2007 Service Pack 2 with the Exchange 2007 Connector

When sending a fax from Outlook with Exchange 2007, international dialling prefixes are misinterpreted.  A +44 is interpreted as a “D” and a +39 is interpreted as a “9”.

This results in the fax not being sent.

The conversion of the number in the email MIME message is incorrectly interpreted.

Please contact Equisys or your reseller for information regarding this problem.

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
