FIX: OLE Error or exception thrown when calling the Send() function in the Zetafax COM API

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

Symptom

Calling certain functions of the Zetafax COM API from a subset of programming languages may produce an OLE error, general error or exception. One such function is the NewMessage.Send() function.

Cause

This issue arises on a subset of programming languages and was a result of some memory optimisations made in the COM API.

Resolution

An update is available here to address this issue.

Status

This fault was corrected in the above mentioned update
