FIX: Zetadocs Client intermittently generates an unhandled exception (JIT error)

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Version 4.0 to 4.2 of Zetadocs for NAV
  • Version 2.5 of Zetadocs for GP

Symptom

During normal use the Zetadocs Client intermittently throws an unhandled exception.

Clicking on “Details” shows a message about invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging and shows that the unhandled exception was caused by a “System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.”

Cause

This problem is due to an issue with the Zetadocs Client.

Resolution

This behaviour was corrected in an update which is available for download here.

Status

An update is available which resolves this issue.
