PRB: Unable to re-send faxes submitted via ZSUBMIT

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

  • Zetafax 9.1 and above

Symptom

Trying to resend a fax submitted via ZSUBMIT from the Zetafax Client fails. The Zetafax Server displays the following error message:

QUEUEMAN   - (E) - Unable to prepare message preview

Cause

There is a known issue with the process involved in preparing the fax for resubmission. If your submit file does not include the %%[text] command in the submit file the attached file referenced will not be rendered correctly causing the fax to fail.

Resolution

Add the %%[text] line to the submit file as below:

User: ADMINIST
From: ADMINIST
Subject:  < test>
To: 123456
Fax: 123456

%%[text]

%%[FILE] 
test.pdf

Status

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
