PRB: The Zetadocs Server fails to convert PDF files with a large number of pages

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Zetadocs for NAV 3.0 and below and Zetadocs for GP 2.1 and below.


On attempting to convert a large PDF file with OCR enabled the document will appear in the document queue saying that the conversion failed.  The converted file will not have been produced.


This problem is due to the Zetadocs Server service running out of memory during the OCR part of the conversion.


This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
