ZTN1084

Symptom

After following the procedure for reinstalling the Mail rendering Subsystem printer driver (ZTN1025), the rendering of Microsoft Word documents continue to fail and the "OEM Printer driver" process in the task manager will maintain in a "Not Responding" state for an indefinite length of time.

Opening a Word document from the desktop will take significantly longer than opening a document from within Microsoft Word by using File/open menu

Resolution

Open Microsoft Word 2000 on the Zetafax Server and chose the "Detect and Repair" option from the Help menu, and follow the on-screen instructions. For systems with Microsoft Office 97, where the "Detect and Repair" option is not available it will be necessary to re-install Microsoft Office 97 on the Zetafax Server.
