HOWTO: Renew a Zetafax Trial license online

This document describes how to install a further Zetafax trial license when it has been renewed via the Sales team.

Trial systems are valid for a month and they expire on the 1st of the following month. Equisys account managers may decide to renew a customer's trial license so that customers can trial Zetafax for longer prior to purchasing. Once a trial period has expired you may receive a number of error messages pertaining to the lack of a valid license.

These error messages will disappear once you have created a new license file.

  1. Stop the Zetafax server service.
  2. Launch the Zetafax configuration console and navigate to Licensing and Registration.
  3. Right-click on Licensing and Registration and select Modify/Upgrade License Details.
  4. Enter the new trial license number you have received over the previous trial license.
  5. Click on Next and leave the software assurance license number fields blank for now.
  6. Select the Register online button.
  7. Add the Company name and select the Register button, the Product Registration Page should open already populated with the license key details.
  8. Add any remaining missing details and when completed click the Register button, your registration code will be emailed to the email address provided on the registration page.
  9. Enter this registration code into the License and Registration Wizard, select the Finish button to complete your registration process.
  10. Restart the Zetafax server.
  11. Launch any Zetafax client and send a fax (anywhere).
  12. You can now use your system as before.
