HOWTO: Perform an upgrade of the Zetadocs Client to version 9

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Version 8.0 and earlier of the Zetadocs Client


This technote explains how to perform an upgrade to version 9 of the Zetadocs Client. The Zetadocs Client is a core component of all Zetadocs for NAV installs, the steps below are appropriate for all versions.

Updating the Zetadocs Client

First you need to remove the existing Zetadocs Installation, to uninstall Zetadocs:

  • Click Start and select Control Panel.
  • Then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  • Select Zetadocs Client and click the Remove button.

Next you need to install the updated Zetadocs Client:

  • Extract your product download, and run the Zetadocs setup program.
  • If Outlook is running you will be asked to close it before continuing.
  • A message will appear indicating that an upgrade will take place.
  • Proceed through the wizard by selecting Next, accept the software license agreement and the wizard will complete the installation.
