PRB: Zetadocs Outlook Add-in wizard does not appear when clicking on “Convert Attachments” button

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Zetadocs PDF 9.4 or earlier
  • Outlook 2007

Symptom

The Attachment Conversion Wizard is not shown when clicking on the “Convert Attachments” button. There are no error messages.

This issue applies to the Zetadocs Outlook Add-in users that use Outlook 2007 and is always reproducible.

Cause

The cause is that the “Microsoft Save as PDF” add-in is missing from Outlook 2007 and is a prerequisite for the Zetadocs add-in.

Outlook 2007 requires additional entries in the registry which are not present by default.

Resolution

Please install the “2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS” add-in that is presently available for download at the following location: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7.

Additionally please apply the registry file which is available by contacting Equisys Technical Support and quoting the technote number ZTN3615.

Status

Equisys is aware of this issue and will update this technical note when a solution has been found.
