PRB: Using a Backslash in the Batch Name will Cause the Batch to save incorrectly

ID: ZTN4012

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Zetadocs NAV 1.2

Sending a batch from NAV to Zetadocs with a “\” in the name will not work correctly. The batch will appear in Zetadocs as a number of individual documents. Archiving to SharePoint will also not work correctly if there is a “\” in the batch name.

The batch does not save correctly because windows will not allow the creation of a file with a “\” in the name.

Archiving to SharePoint does not work correctly because the backslash is taken as a path character, so the document is archived to the wrong place.

Do not use any backslashes in the batch name.  All other special characters that can cause problems are automatically extracted from the batch name.

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
