PRB: Printing a Zetadocs enabled NAV report generates an error

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Zetadocs for NAV version 1.0 and later
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV v4 and later


Printing a Zetadocs enabled report in NAV produces the following error:


Typically the error is due to a set up problem. If you open the user temp folder (C:\Documents and Settings\< username> \Application Data\Temp) and read the ZetadocsNAV.log it usually will tell you the problem.


Browse to the ZetadocsNAV.log and view the last few logged lines to find the reason for the failure. The log will usually be clear as to the cause and may offer advice on resolution.

The log is found in C:\Documents and Settings\< username> \Application Data\Temp. Note that Application Data is normally a hidden folder. If searching, choose to search in Hidden Files and Folders.


This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
