PRB: Outlook message body formatting lost when sending faxes from Exchange 2007 and later

ID: ZTN1749

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

  • Zetafax Connector for Exchange 2007 and later

All formatting in the Outlook message body is lost once the fax is sent.

Setting the Mail body format with the Zetafax Outlook extensions and Exchange 2007 or later installed to either Rich Text Format or Optimized, with the Outlook message format set to either HTML or Plain Text causes the body of the email to be treated as text only.

If you would like to preserve the formatting of the text in the body of the email, please set the Outlook message format to Rich Text. Alternatively, insert a Microsoft Word attachment instead.

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
