PRB: Error 13003 when checking for updates

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

  • Zetafax 2008


When checking for updates on the Zetafax Server you receive error 13003 that the Update Service does not recognize this product.


Update Service files are not updated correctly after upgrading from older versions of Zetafax e.g. Zetafax 2006.



If you have not yet upgraded, first upgrade to Zetafax 2007 and then upgrade to Zetafax 2008.  Contact your local reseller or Equisys to obtain a Zetafax 2007 upgrade licence if you want to follow this option.

Option 2:

If you have already upgraded and you can restore the old system (recent backup), then go via Zetafax 2007 as above.

Option 3:

Reinstall Zetafax 2008 by following the advice in ZTN1388 to preserve your data files.



This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
