PRB: Applying stationary to documents printed from Great Plains 8

Print

ZTN3554

ID: ZTN3554

This Zetadocs PDF technical note applies to:

  • Zetadocs V4 and earlier
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP version 8

Symptom

White lines appear across the stationary when a document is printed to Zetadocs PDF from Great Plains 8

Cause

Printing to Zetadocs PDF from Great Plains 8 causes an issue when applying stationary.  Great Plains 8 prints out using an image format instead of a text format. The text is printed as image lines. This causes the text image to overlay the stationary, obscuring it.

Workaround

Print to Zetadocs PDF, before applying the stationary:

  • Select “Save as PDF” and save file to the default save location.
  • From the accessories panel in Zetadocs select the pdf you just saved. Right click and select “Add to new document”.
  • Now apply the stationary to the created document.

When the stationary is applied it can be seen correctly in the background.

Status

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
