This Zetafax technical note applies to:

  • Zetafax Server 2009 SP1 and later operating on Windows 2008 / 2008 R2

Summary

This technote describes the behaviour of Zetafax Server-associated Brooktrout programs after upgrading from Windows 2008 to Windows 2008 R2.

More information

After upgrading from a Windows 2008 system with Zetafax Server installed and a Brooktrout device configured to Windows 2008 R2, the Brooktrout Configuration Wizard is displayed.

This behaviour is ‘as designed’. Users should simply click through the wizard accepting the defaults (your pre-upgrade settings will be preserved). Zetafax Server and your Brooktrout devices will then be ready to use.

Should you accidentally hit Cancel on the wizard, simply run the Configuration Tool manually from the Start menu.
