This Zetafax technical note applies to:

  • All versions of the Zetafax Client

This technote details how to change the logged in user and Zetafax Server location when the login prompt is disabled. This may be required when temporarily logging in as another user, or if the Zetafax Server location has changed.

More information

There are 2 methods to change the logged in user and Zetafax Server location:

1.    Using the Zetafax Client:

  • Open the Zetafax Client as your current user.
  • Navigate to the Options tab in the ribbon.
  • Select Customise.
  • Ensure the ‘Prompt for username at startup’ option is checked.
  • Click Ok and restart the client. The login prompt should appear.

2.    Changing a registry key (this option may be required if the user is unable to open the client when the Zetafax Server has changed and the old server has already been decommissioned):

Registry Editor Warning
