FIX: Coversheet text is cut off if longer than 280 characters when sent using the Zetafax API

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

  • Zetafax Version 9.1 and later

Symptom

When submitting a fax using the Zetafax COM API, and more than 280 characters are entered onto a coversheet line, any following characters will be ignored.

Cause

This was caused by a limitation in the COM API.

Resolution

Please download and extract “ZTN1648 Hotfix for API coversheet line limit.zip” from the following link:

Status

This behaviour was corrected in the above mentioned hotfix
