PRB: Zetafax options page for mailboxes does not work when viewed from an Exchange server in a different site

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

  • Zetafax connector for Microsoft Exchange 5.5 version 7.00 and later

Symptom

Start the Exchange administrator program from a server in site A with the Zetafax connector installed.  Connect to a server in site B that also has the Zetafax connector installed.  If you now try to view the Zetafax options tab for a mailbox in site B you get the following warning dialog:

Cause

A problem with the Zetafax options for mailboxes add-in prevents it from accessing the home-site's properties.

Resolution

Edit the mailbox properties using a server within the site that the mailbox is on.

Status

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
