PRB: Zetadocs reports Overflow under type conversion of text to text

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Zetadocs for NAV version 2.1

Symptom

When printing a certain documents from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Zetadocs you receive an “overflow under type conversion of text to text” error.

Cause

Complex system and customer rules for particular records create embedded addressing commands that are too long.

Resolution

A hotfix is available to address the overflow exception produced when generating the embedded commands of more than 800 characters.
