PRB: Text is compressed into left hand margin of PDF document

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Zetadocs PDF Version 1.0

Symptom

Intermittently, the PDF document created by Zetadocs PDF has the original document text compressed into the left hand margin.

Cause

This is a known issue with the current document conversion process.

Resolution

There are two solutions to this problem:

  1. Use the Zetadocs PDF Word add-in to send the print job to Zetadocs. This is installed by default by the Zetadocs PDF installation program. See ZTN3502 if the add-in is missing.
  2. If you are printing from an application other than Word, set the Zetadocs PDF printer as the default printer.
