PRB: NAV unexpectedly closes down when scanning from the Zetadocs Drag and Drop control

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Version 6.0 of Zetadocs for Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2


After clicking on the Scanner button in the Zetadocs Documents factbox and selecting a scanner, the NAV Windows client can unexpectedly close down depending on the scanner device that is selected.


This issue can be caused by an incompatibility between user interface style used by some older TWAIN scanner drivers and NAV 2013 R2 Windows client user interface.  It is dependent on the specific scanner drivers installed in the system.


To resolve this problem, try selecting the scanning source starting with ‘WIA’ or try with a different device and different device drivers.


This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
