This Zetafax technical note applies to:
When users submit a fax with the € (Euro) currency character in the body of the fax message, the character is replaced with a p (Invalid) or blank character. Additionally the Zetafax client did not correctly display the Euro for previously sent faxes.
The Zetafax client and server programs did not fully support the Euro character on all systems. Added to this there are a number of other possible causes for this behaviour. This includes the possibility that the application you are using ‘Print to Fax’ from, does not support the Euro. Certain fonts and operating systems need updating in order to support the Euro character; this includes the computer hosting the Zetafax server application. See the references section for more details.
This issue is resolved by applying the Zetafax update ZFUPD_V751.EXE. This is available on the Equisys web site www.equisys.com/updates as a separate download for Zetafax 7 users. It is accompanied by a README providing full instructions for installing the update.
This behaviour was corrected in the above-mentioned update.
