Vacancy for Marketing Executive

Summary

You will work as part of a small marketing team in a central London software company, generating sales leads for the sales team – both directly and working through VARs. You will be responsible for the entire lead generation process: list buying and management, CRM processes and data entry, devising and managing online and offline campaigns, management of webinars and trade shows, use of social media and newsletter sponsorship and trade shows. You will be an integral part of this busy team that produces marketing and product collateral for worldwide use, runs marketing campaigns and produces regular communications to multiple audiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage online and offline campaigns:
    • Write copy for and manage promotions, newsletters, bulletins, emails, blogs, social media and web sites to increase brand awareness, create product differentiation and generate leads for the sales team.
  • List purchasing and maintenance:
    • Acquire and manage data from third party suppliers to provide targeted lists that will maximize the effectiveness of campaigns; operate and manage our CRM-integrated email marketing system, ensuring that mailings go out on schedule and that the database updated with unsubscribe information, gone-aways, etc.
  • Manage and maintain CRM database:
    • Maintain our contact data for customers, resellers and distributors; enforce company-wide good practice use of the CRM system and identify areas where CRM processes can be improved.
  • Agency management:
    • Interact with list brokers, our email marketing service provider, design agencies, print companies, marketing consultants and other external suppliers as required to help ensure services are of high quality while remaining within budget.
  • Support launch of products:
    • Assist with the development of marcoms messages and collateral for product launches to provide news-worthy stories with consistent, compelling messages.

Required skills/experience

  • Degree level education
  • Either 1+ years' experience in Marketing Executive role or a marketing degree or CIM diploma
  • Self-motivated with a "can-do" attitude
  • Demonstrable experience in operating and managing process-driven work
  • Excellent communication, presentation, written and interpersonal skills
  • Accuracy and good attention to detail

Desired skills/experience

  • CIM diploma
  • 2+ years' experience in Marketing Executive role
  • Technical knowledge of HTML and other web technologies
  • Experience of working within an IT environment
  • Experience of working within a B2B environment
  • Ability to think strategically to develop marketing programs to address specific audiences

Position

This role formally reports to the CEO who manages the marketing team, but takes day-to-day task direction from the Senior Marketing Executive in the team. There is a requirement to liaise closely with the sales team, with marketing colleagues in the US and with our channel partners.
