PRB: 'Internet browser is not installed' error when authenticating with SharePoint Online or opening documents from the Factbox

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Zetadocs for NAV (all versions)
  • Windows 10 and 11
  • NAV/Business Central on-premises

When trying to authentiucate with SharePoint Online or open a document from the factbox the error message "Internet browser is not installed" is displayed. This applies to all Zetadocs for NAV versions on Windows 10 or 11 using NAV/Business Central on-premises.

This happens because the NAV/Business Central RTC client defaults to opening the link using Internet Explorer which has now been retired and disabled by Microsoft.
