Changes in this update

Feature enhancements

This release contains the following enhancements:

New option to require receipts

A new policy option can now  be set, whereby users can be required to attach a receipt to payment expenses, either in all cases or only above a certain threshold amount.

AI-generated content may be incorrect.

If the “required” or “above a threshold amount” option is selected, users will see an error prompt when saving an expense without a receipt:

New  fields added to the OData reporting feed

Two new columns have been added to the OData reporting feed:

  • The number of receipts (ReceiptCount)
  • The URL of the expense (ExpenseUrl)

This makes it quicker to view receipts from the reporting feed output when needed, such as during audits.

Quality and performance improvements

This update includes various improvements including the following:

Improved performance of Custom Properties settings pages

Performance enhancements have been made to facilitate better responsiveness and loading times for the custom property settings pages.

Fix: Navigation buttons are visible on 'View Payments' screens

Removed the next and previous navigation buttons when in the 'View Payments' screen. These were previously visible but performed no actions.

Fix: Allowance expenses able to be created and attached to a vehicle report

Fixed an issue whereby under certain conditions, users were able to create a new allowance expense attached to a vehicle report, which is an invalid scenario.

Fix: Able to add receipts with a future date

Resolved an inconsistency where if a user uploads a receipt as the first step of creating an expense, if the date of the receipt is in the future, this is picked up and applied to the expense, when future dates are not normally allowed to be entered.

Fix: Custom property values not showing on Zetadocs Expenses clients

Fixed an issue where not all custom property values are shown in the clients. This would happen if using the automatic import feature for custom properties, and a previously removed value has been re-added.

Fix: Map section overlaps the 'Add Receipt' button when editing an expense using the Android app

Corrected a bug where on the Android app, the map displayed in a mileage expense can overlap the 'Add Receipt' button.

Fix: Report description is not updated on email notifications

Fixed an issue where approval email notifications were sent with the original report description rather than the most up to date one.

Fix: Approver selection dialog list users in a random order

Corrected a change in behavior from the June 2025 release where when submitting or delegating a report, the list of approvers is in a random order rather than the expected alphabetical order.

Fix: Expenses list defaults to 'All of my expenses'

Fixed a change in behavior from the June 2025 release whereby the default display filter for the Expenses list had changed to 'All of my expenses'. This has been restored to show draft expenses as default.

Additional upgrade steps

Extension for Business Central

This release is compatible with all previous versions of the Extension for Business Central. However, if you are using a previous version, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version to benefit from stability and performance improvements.

NAV Server Components

The NAV Server Components have not been updated in this release.

This release is compatible with previous versions of the NAV Server Components (versions 3.4.24081 and later).

The Zetadocs Expenses Connector Windows service is installed on your NAV Server computer and manages communication between the Zetadocs server and the Zetadocs NAV Server Components.

The Zetadocs Expenses Connector Windows service can be updated simply without affecting your NAV system.  Please contact Equisys for more information.

Reporting Template

The PowerBI Reporting Template has not been updated in this release.

Mobile apps

Installed mobile apps will be updated automatically on mobile devices where this is enabled.
