PRB: Rendering fails on "OEM Print driver" Print ZTN1084 ID: ZTN1084 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax 5.5 and later Symptom After following the procedure for reinstalling the Mail rendering Subsystem printer driver (ZTN1025), the rendering of Microsoft Word documents continue to fail and the "OEM Printer driver" process in the task manager will maintain in a "Not Responding" state for an indefinite length of time. Opening a Word document from the desktop will take significantly longer than opening a document from within Microsoft Word by using File/open menu Cause Some of the settings in Word have become corrupt and are causing problems with printing to the Mail Rendering Subsystem printer driver. Resolution Open Microsoft Word 2000 on the Zetafax Server and chose the "Detect and Repair" option from the Help menu, and follow the on-screen instructions. For systems with Microsoft Office 97, where the "Detect and Repair" option is not available it will be necessary to re-install Microsoft Office 97 on the Zetafax Server.
