Configuration for HP Digital Sender Devices

Configuring the scanner

The following steps are all taken on the computer that runs the service tasks for the scanner where the JetAdmin utility is installed. This may be on a different machine to the Zetafax Server computer.

•Start up the HP JetAdmin utility program.

•Select All devices in the left-hand window, and in the right-hand window find the scanner that you want to configure.

•Right-click on the scanner to display the Modify dialog.

•Click Next until you get to the LAN Fax Server dialog.

•Select Zetafax from the list.

The Fax dialog will configure all of the necessary settings for the Zetafax Server.

Before leaving this dialog:

•Ensure that the Enable fax option is checked, then click Next .

Configuring the Zetafax Server programs

To configure the Zetafax Server for use of the HP Digital sender

•Launch the Zetafax Configuration program (Start menu, Programs submenu, Zetafax submenu).

•In the right pane, click Server Settings .

•In the right pane, double-click HPSCAN direct scan-to-fax program .

The Zetafax HPSCAN direct scan-to-fax program configuration dialog will appear.

•Ensure that the Enable HP network scanner support check box is checked.

•In the Directory for files box, enter zfax/HPSCAN where zfax is the path of the Zetafax Server directory.

•This entry must match the work area path set in the Installing HP Digital Sender devices procedure, so if you used a alternative patch during that procedure, set the Directory for files to that path instead.

•Make any other changes you require to the settings, using the Help button to discover details if required. Click OK . Exit the Zetafax Configuration program.
