PRB: NAV can lock up during Zetadocs report sending process

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Zetadocs for NAV 2.1 when used with NAV 4.0 SP2 and below.

Symptom

When printing a Zetadocs enabled report with the delivery dialogs enabled the Zetadocs Delivery form is displayed.  Click on the contact lookup to display the contact list, and then click on ContactàCard to show the contact card.

The contact card will appear in the background and the contact list will retain focus, but you will be unable to close either the card or the list because an error message is displayed saying they are each locked by the other.

Cause

This is due to an issue with the way the NAV 4.0 client handles multiple modal windows.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in NAV 4.0 SP3, so upgrading to this version of the NAV client or above will correct the problem.

Status

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
