FIX: Zetadocs Client shuts down unexpectedly when printing from NAV
This Zetadocs technical note applies to:
- Version 9.0.284 of Zetadocs PDF and below
- Version 5.5.307 of Zetadocs NAV and below
On printing a report from the NAV role tailored client or windows client without delivery dialogs turned on the Zetadocs Client is launched and then immediately fails.
On launching the Zetadocs Client again manually the document is loaded in correctly.
When printing from the RTC or windows client the Zetadocs Client is launched twice, once when the print job is finished and once when the delivery dialogs are closed. When the Zetadocs Client is launched it will search for new print jobs and load them into the client.
There is a small window where the second launch of the Zetadocs Client can occur before it has finished initializing. If this happens, print jobs can be loaded before the Zetadocs Client is ready to handle them.
With the delivery dialogs turned off, the two launches of the client will occur in quick succession and this window can be hit.
A hotfix is available which resolves this issue.
Please contact technical support for a solution to this issue. This issue has been resolved in version 6.0 of Zetadocs for NAV.
