FIX: Email gateway stops processing messages and uses 100% of a CPU core

ID: ZTN1908

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

  • Zetafax Server 2012 with Exchange 2007/2010 connector

When the Zetafax Server is set up to use the email gateway with Exchange 2007 or 2010, the email gateway may stop processing messages. Messages will no longer be sent or received for any mail gateway users. The issue also causes the process ‘stm32.exe’ to take 100% of a CPU core.

This issue was caused by a problem when moving invalid message files to a bad mail folder, either due to a file lock, permissions, or network issues.

This issue has been resolved in the Zetafax 2012 Platform Feature Pack, available for download here. This update is available free of charge to existing Software Assuancre customers and can be accessed using the password provided in your Software Assurance newsletter.
