This article describes the new features and other improvements in the September 2026 update of the Zetadocs Expenses service.

Feature enhancements

This release contains the following enhancements:

Automated email receipt extraction

Receipts forwarded to receipts@zetadocs.com are now analyzed automatically to extract the key information (e.g. vendor, amount and tax), so that it is then entered automatically on to a new draft expense. This ensures expense receipts submitted via email are analyzed in the same way as they are when uploading receipts via the Zetadocs Expenses app, offering users time savings and convenience, however they choose to capture their expense receipts.

Support for iOS 27

The Zetadocs Expenses app has been validated against iOS 27.

Quality and performance improvements

This update includes various improvements including the following:

Incorrect date set on expense after uploading a receipt

When uploading a foreign expense receipt, if the date format is different to the home region of your company, then the date could be parsed incorrectly. We have improved behaviour for the auto detection to correctly populate the date field.

Additional adjustment line added to exported expenses on Canadian Business Central systems

Resolved an issue whereby in some situations, if the sales tax settings on some lines are taxable, and some are non-taxable, then an additional adjustment line is created on the purchase invoice with the full tax amount of the report.

Discrepancies with mileage values depending on time of day

Corrected behavior with the mileage expenses, which originally took into account traffic conditions at the time of entering start and destination points. This would vary the route slightly which would lead to different distance values depending on the traffic conditions. This has now been adjusted to allow for a consistent distance value regardless of traffic conditions.

Vehicle report detail screen displays 'Expense' headings instead of 'Mileage' and 'Fuel'

Made adjustments to the vehicle report detail (printable summary) screen to have more relevant headings for the expenses.

Start and destination fields on mileage expenses reset to previous values

Fixed a bug where a user typing a new start or destination point can, after the suggested locations dropdown has shown, have the newly typed text replaced with the previous value.

Stopover destination address changes to a nearby location

Resolved a bug that caused a stopover location to switch to a nearby building.

OData reporting feed returns duplicate expenses

Fixed an issue where on very large datasets, the same expense was sometimes being returned twice.

Users with processor role removed continue to show as option on System Settings screens

Corrected a scenario that continued to show users who are no longer processors in the defaults and allowed lists. 

Additional information

Extension for Business Central

This release is compatible with all previous versions of the Extension for Business Central. However, if you are using a previous version, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version to benefit from stability and performance improvements.

NAV Server Components

This release is compatible with previous versions of the NAV Server Components (versions 3.4.24081 and later).

Mobile apps

Installed mobile apps will be updated automatically on mobile devices where this is enabled.
