This article describes the new features and other improvements in the September 2026 update of the Zetadocs Delivery and Zetadocs Capture Extension for Business Central.

September 30, 2026 (version 3.0.26264) available for download for on-premises Business Central systems and on Microsoft Marketplace for Business Central Online systems from the release date.

Feature enhancements

The following feature enhancements are included in this release:

Automatically refresh Document Queues.

Administrators can now configure a Zetadocs Document Queue to refresh automatically in the background (as opposed to only refreshing when a user opens or manually refreshes the queue). With this option enabled on the Zetadocs System Rule, Zetadocs periodically checks the associated SharePoint folder and prepares new documents for processing, for example by extracting invoice data or barcode values. This means documents are ready for users when they open the queue.

Prepopulate vendor details from invoices

When a vendor does not exist in Business Central, users can create a new vendor from the Zetadocs AP Automation preview page and prepopulate the new vendor record with details extracted from the invoice.

Configure Order matching tolerance warnings

Administrators can now define an Order Matching Tolerance (%) that is applied when manually matching order lines.

When this setting is enabled on the Zetadocs System Rule, Zetadocs displays a warning if the difference between an invoice line’s unit cost and the matched order line’s unit cost exceeds the configured tolerance

This helps users identify discrepancies and reduces the risk of matching errors.

Quality and performance improvements 

This update includes a number of quality and performance improvements, including the following:

Increased email address limit for To field in Zetadocs Delivery

The To field in the Zetadocs Delivery dialog has been adjusted to allow for more and longer email addresses. Previously, there was a 250 character limit.

SharePoint authentication stability improvements

The SharePoint authentication flow has been improved to reduce refresh-token errors that prevented use of the Documents Factbox until the user signed out and signed back in.

'Zetadocs Cloud Service could not process the request' error if first letter of SharePoint site URL is capitalized 

Fixed an issue where entering a SharePoint site URL with an initial capital letter in Zetadocs General Settings caused a general error.

Documents Factbox shows times as UTC rather than the Business Central time zone set for the user

Dates and times in the Documents Factbox now use the time zone configured for the user in Business Central

Incorrect 'File does not exist' error on Documents Factbox when SharePoint site is incorrectly entered in Zetadocs General Settings

The software now displays a clearer error when the SharePoint site entered in the Zetadocs General Settings does not exist.

'View Original' does not open the file for non-PDF files that were processed through the document queue batch split folder

“Previously, a non-PDF file (that doesn’t need splitting) could be placed in the batch split folder and would appear in the document queue. When selecting ‘View Original’, an error is then displayed instead. The original file now opens correctly.”

More than 50 files shown in Documents Factbox

Restored previous behaviour of displaying a maximum of 50 entries in the Documents Factbox. There was no limit for several releases, which affected usability and performance of the Factbox.

Unit costs for lines processed through AP Automation occasionally incorrect

In some circumstances where draft changes are saved, or previous erroneous learning data is present, the unit costs for a line in the AP Automation Preview page may have been  10, 100 or 1000 times higher or lower than thethe actual amount. This issue has been fixed.

Files with the same name added to document queue batch split folder are replaced instead of copied

Corrected an issue where if a file is placed in the batch split folder, but hasn't been split, it was copied to the document queue root folder. If there was a file with the same name, then the older file would be overwritten. Zetadocs now adds a suffix to the new filename, preserving both files.

Quantity and amount values are removed when invoice lines are combined and the vendor is changed on the Zetadocs AP Automation preview page

Fixed an issue that occurred when changing the vendor after combining the invoice lines, whereby the quantity and amount values were removed.

Known issues with released features 

Combining or matching all invoice lines using the 'Select All' button when matching lines does not work.

Business Central has a 'Select All' button on most list pages, The Zetadocs AP Automation order matching page does not currently support use of this button, users should either multi-select or individually select relevant items instead. There is currently an incompatibility between Business Central's select all functionality and the data passed back to Extensions. A technote with a workaround provides more details.
