Release date, version and availability

September 30, 2025 (version 3.0.25240) available for download for on-premises Business Central systems and on Microsoft AppSource for Business Central Online systems from the release date.

Changes in this update

Feature enhancements

The following new feature enhancements are included in this release:

Support for custom line types

It is now possible to customize Zetadocs AP Automation so that it makes use of custom line types in Business Central. This is possible using new Zetadocs SDK events. More information is available in the Zetadocs SDK Guide.

Quality and performance improvements

This update includes a number of quality and performance improvements, including the following:

Improvements for Zetadocs AP Automation

Additionalimprovements have been made to Zetadocs AP Automation. These include:

  • Amounts that have additional spaces or less standard formatting are now more likely to be recognized and populated into the invoice preview.
  • When changing the line type in the invoice preview page, the No. field is now cleared to avoid an invalid line.

Prices combined into one large number in Zetadocs AP Automation

Fixed a scenario whereby some extracted invoices had unit price and net price extracted into one value. These values are now ignored to avoid incorrect numbers being populated. Note this fix only applies to newly uploaded documents and does not correct the behaviour for existing documents in the queue prior to the release.

Posted Sales Shipments report 1308 has no Zetadocs Report Settings associated with it

Added default settings for the additional Posted Sales Shipments report 1308.

'File of this type is not permitted' error when processing documents in the Zetadocs Document Queue

Fixed an issue whereby the check for supported file types in the Document Queue was case sensitive.

Delivery fails for customer with an '&' character at the end of the customer number

Resolved an issue whereby a customer number with an '&' character at the end would result in the report selection page failing to open, or the delivery failing.

'User does not have permissions' error when a user is not directly assigned the Zetadocs User permission set.

Adjusted behaviour to allow users to include the Zetadocs User permission set inside a parent permission set. This was previously failing with the error above.

Delivery reported as failed when it has been successfully sent by the email server.

In some circumstances, an email server may take a longer time to respond than expected. This resulted in a timeout error being returned to Zetadocs and subsequently the delivery being marked as failed. The behaviour has been adjusted to provide more contextual detail to users in the event of this type of error.

'The record in table Zetadocs Send Settings already exists' error

Resolved an issue whereby some automated batch send jobs, implemented via the Zetadocs SDK, resulted in errors when coded in a certain way.

Known issues with released features

Combining or matching all invoice lines using the 'Select All' button when matching lines does not work.

Business Central has a 'Select All' button on most list pages, The Zetadocs AP Automation order matching page does not currently support use of this button, users should either multi-select or individually select relevant items instead. Microsoft have confirmed that this will be resolved in an upcoming release of Business Central.

Multi-selecting invoice lines to match and then reverting to a single selection matches the original multi-selected lines instead

The multi-select for matching is generally functional, but there is a specific case whereby if a user has multi-selected some lines and then reverts to selecting a single line within that original selection, then the matching will happen for all the original selected lines. There is a fault in the retaining of selection information and Microsoft have confirmed that this will be resolved in an upcoming release of Business Central.
