This article describes the new features and other improvements in the June 2025 update of the Zetadocs Delivery and Zetadocs Capture Extension for Business Central.

Release date, version and availability

July 3, 2025 (version 3.0.25170) available for download for on-premises Business Central systems and on Microsoft AppSource for Business Central Online systems from the release date.

Changes in this update

Feature enhancements

The following new feature enhancements are included in this release:

Edit Zetadocs template E-Mail body from Business Central

There is a new option within Business Central to allow easier editing of the E-Mail body on Zetadocs templates. This fully removes the need to use the Zetadocs PDF Client to manage delivery templates for Business Central users. .

Quality and performance improvements

This update includes a number of quality and performance improvements, including the following:

Improved reliability when importing large Zetadocs configuration data files during setup

The Zetadocs configuration import process has been adjusted to allow import of larger configuration files via use of job queues, and now avoids blocking the UI during the import process. Users are able to view progress of the configuration import via the job queue (link provided after initiating the import process).

Success E-Mail notification sent for cancelled E-Mail deliveries when using the Zetadocs SDK and the OnAfterDelivery event

Resolved a scenario whereby some Zetadocs SDK users may encounter notification E-Mails indicating a successful delivery, when in fact the delivery has been cancelled or deleted from the job queue.

Document queue actions cannot be performed on files with names starting with the '@' symbol

Fixed a case where if a file is placed in the document queue with a filename starting with the '@' symbol, no actions can be performed on that entry in the queue.

Document queue entries display in UTC time rather than the SharePoint timezone

Adjusted behaviour of the document queue Date column so that it takes into account the timezone setting of the SharePoint site.

Due date on a purchase invoice uses the due date on the invoice rather than agreed payment terms stored against the vendor in Business Central

Fixed a change in behaviour introduced in a previous release, whereby Zetadocs AP Automation started overriding the agreed due date from the Vendor card with the due date on the invoice in the document queue.

VAT date uses current working date instead of the Default VAT Date setting

Resolved an issue in Zetadocs AP Automation whereby the VAT date was not using the default VAT Date setting in the General Ledger Setup in Business Central.

Known issues with released features

Combining or matching all invoice lines using the 'Select All' button when matching lines does not work.

Business Central has a 'Select All' button on most list pages, The Zetadocs AP Automation order matching page does not currently support use of this button, users should either multi-select or individually select relevant items instead. Microsoft have confirmed that this will be resolved in an upcoming release of Business Central.

Multi-selecting invoice lines to match and then reverting to a single selection matches the original multi-selected lines instead

The multi-select for matching is generally functional, but there is a specific case whereby if a user has multi-selected some lines, and then reverts to selecting a single line within that original selection, then the matching will happen for all the original selected lines. There is a fault in the retaining of selection information and Microsoft have confirmed that this will be resolved in an upcoming release of Business Central.

Intermittent delays with documents in Zetadocs Document Queues being marked as 'Ready'

There have been rare instances whereby the items in the Zetadocs Document Queue may remain in a 'Not Ready' state for longer than expected (>30 minutes). Equisys are aware of this and are working on mitigation steps.
