Summary

The Zetafax connector provides a 'Zetafax type' addressing template when installed. It is possible to use this template to create fax addresses that are available to all MS Exchange 5.5 users.

This document details the procedure to follow when adding Zetafax addresses to the global address list, including the additional steps necessary with the Zetafax 5.5 connector for Exchange.

More information

Ensure that you are logged on with administrative rights for the MS Exchange server, and launch MS Exchange Administrator. Select File | New Custom Recipient, which brings up the "New E-mail Address" dialog box.

Select Zetafax Address from the drop down menu and click "OK".

Type in the addressing details to be added to the global address list and click "OK".

Type in the username details in the Properties screen as you wish the entry to appear in the Global address list and click OK. Your new entry will now be added to the global address list.

If you are running Zetafax 6.00b Exchange connector or later you need not continue with the rest of these instructions.

If you are on a previous version, ensure that you click the E-mail Addresses tab. This stage is essential because if it is left out, the message will fail.

Notice that there is no entry for FAX in the E-mail addresses listed. To create click "NEW" which will again evoke the "New E-mail Address" dialog box. Select Zetafax address from the drop down list and click "OK". Type in the addressing details exactly as you did in the previous "New Zetafax Address Properties" dialog box and click "OK".

You will notice that a FAX entry now appears in the available E-mail addresses for the new entry. Click "OK" to continue, you have now successfully added a Zetafax entry to the global address list.
