Enabling network users for Zetafax
Zetafax provides two options for enabling existing network user accounts directly, by either using a list of users from the primary domain, or from an individual machine. This method of importing usernames is the fastest way of installing multiple Zetafax users. The Zetafax Configuration program will generate Zetafax usernames automatically based on the network username.
| • | Run the Zetafax Configuration program and from the left pane select Users and user groups. |
| • | Select Network users and all the Domains on your system will be displayed. |
| • | Choose the Domain you require and all members of that Domain will be listed. |
To enable all users of a domain:
| • | Select the first name from the list, scroll to the end, and click the last user whilst holding down the S key. |
This will highlight all users. Right click and select Enable to enable the selected users.
The user icon next to these users will now change to show that the users you selected are now within Zetafax. These new users will inherit privileges identical to the (new user defaults) account.
To set restrictions individually per user:
| • | Select the user in the list and click Edit (Action menu) or right click and select Edit . |
The Zetafax user details dialog lets you define the user's restrictions: Set the restrictions as required and click the OK button to save the changes.
