Zetadocs Software Development Kit
The Zetadocs Software Development Kit (SDK) will allow a developer to incorporate Zetadocs functionality into applications using a programming interface.
The Zetadocs SDK offers:
- Unified SDK for message preparation and sending, for both PDF by email and fax.
- Support for different programming environments including .NET and COM-aware programs.
- Automated and user interface based components that can be embedded in third party applications.
- Includes all the sending functionality of the Zetafax API and the option to use Zetafax API for advanced functionality.
The Zetadocs SDK provides advanced functionality that allows developers to integrate a range of options into existing applications.
Capture functions
These allow developers to capture data from various sources and create a ZDD file (EMF file).

Create document by printing |
Create a ZDD format document from an application by printing to the Zetadocs PDF printer. |

Convert office documents |
Convert an Office document to ZDD format using OfficePrint function. |

Create from scanned images |
Use a scanning module to acquire BMP or TIFF files from a scanner and convert to ZDD format. |
Process functions
These allow developers to manipulate a document once it has been captured to the ZDD file format.

Modify document properties |
Specify name, class, archive folder, delivery option, dynamic fields and fax options. |

Modify page properties |
Change page layout, size or resolution. |

Editing functions |
Delete/move/rename sections, delete/move pages, remove stationery, add attachment, apply template, merge documents. |

Save as |
Save current document as PDF, template, stationery or attachment. |
Delivery functions
These allow developers to specify delivery options for the document.

Addressing information |
Specify "To", "cc" and "bcc" addresses, fax addresses. |

Message properties (email) |
Specify subject and body, priority, delivery option (fax, email, print), important (high, medium, low). |

Message properties (fax) |
Send time, resolution, from name, charge code, hold before sending, apply coversheet and fax attachments. |
Operations |
Sent to all routes, send fax coversheet only, sent to specific route e.g. fax, email, print, archive. |

Archiving |
The archive location will be calculated from the document class, date, or archive folder property. |
