Fax modem
Zetafax allows supported users on a network to send and receive faxes via a fax modem and central Zetafax server. Faxes are sent and received using intelligent fax boards or a fax modem attached to the network through the Zetafax server. Equisys recommend the use of intelligent fax boards in place of a fax modem for heavy fax usage. ISDN versions of intelligent fax boards are recommended for routing faxes to the desktop using DDI.

Zetafax also has a number of add-ons that allow you to send and receive faxes - via a fax modem - in various different ways and from different applications. The Zetafax API toolkit allows users to integrate Zetafax into existing applications, fax enabling accounting packages and databases, for example.
The Zetafax SMS add-on allows users to send and receive text messages from the Zetafax client. This add-on however requires it's own GSM modem in addition to the fax modem required for a basic Zetafax system.
